Worcester Youth and Family Counseling Services, Inc. (WYFCS) is a non-profit organization serving the community since 1975 located in Berlin, Maryland. WYFCS has been at the heart of what is really happening in the families and homes in Worcester County by reaching the people who need help.
A staff of health care professionals provides quality services pertaining to mental health, substance abuse counseling, maternal child health, family planning, personal health, adult health, environmental health, communicable disease, developmental disabilities, and prevention programs.
The Life Crisis Center is a local non-profit agency that was established in 1976. The Center’s mission is to improve the quality of life in our community through crisis intervention and violence prevention. The licensed, professional staff uses national best practice treatment models to serve Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties.
Since 1972, Diakonia has been helping men, women, and families in Worcester County, Maryland by providing emergency housing, food assistance, and resources to help them get back on their feet. Over the past 10 years, Diakonia has expanded our services to include case management, housing assistance, homeless prevention, and veteran services.
The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) is the leading nonprofit in providing information and tools to prevent and respond to sexual violence. NSVRC translates research and trends into best practices that help individuals, communities and service providers achieve real and lasting change.
RAINN is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN operates the Nation Sexual Assault Hotline (800.656.HOPE) in partnership with over 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the county and operates the DoD Safe Helpline for the Department of Defense.
The mission of NCADV if to lead, mobilize and raise their voices to support efforts that demand a change of conditions that lead to domestic violence such as patriarchy, privilege, racism, sexism, and classism. The are dedicated to supporting survivors and holding offenders accountable and supporting advocates.
